Tryouts are officially closed! Please check back next season for our next tryout session.

 

Use these instructions to successfully complete your tryout for FCHS Cheer.

1. Register for tryouts, here. This is a separate form from the Tryout Submission Form. Both must be filled out for you to complete the tryout process.

2. Review the tryout material on this page. For the Tryout Submission Form, you'll be asked to upload a video of yourself performing the tryout chant and a separate video performing the tryout dance. Please wear athletic attire and tennis shoes in your videos performing the material. TIP: Wear our school colors in your video to show your school spirit!

3. Think about why you're excited to tryout for the team! We'll also ask you to upload a video introducing yourself and describing why you'd like to be involved with FCHS Cheer. This video also needs to include your parent or guardian at the beginning stating that they give you permission to try out for the team. 

4. Fill out and submit the District Athletic forms by following the instructions here.  

5. Fill out the Tryout Submission Form before 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 22nd. You will need to login with your PSD Account (the account you use to login to school computers) to access the form. If you're having trouble accessing the form, please use an Incognito tab (Google Chrome) or InPrivate Browsing tab (Microsoft Edge) to try again. Internet Explorer is not a supported browser for this.

Having Technical Issues? Here are some things you can try if you're having trouble with our form.

1. Completely exit your internet browser by shutting all the open windows; then navigate back to the tryout form and try submitting again. 

2. Make sure you're using the latest version of your current browser. Older versions of some browsers (Internet Explorer and Safari) may have trouble with this form. We recommend trying Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. If you're not on the most current version, please update your browser. 

3. Try opening the form in an Incognito window (Google Chrome) or an InPrivate window (Microsoft Edge).

4. Check the size of your videos. Are you accidentally recording your video in 4k or with a frame rate above 30fps? That level of quality isn't necessary for this tryout. Your file must be smaller than 1GB to work with this form.

If you've gone through all the steps above and still aren't able to submit your video, please email your answers to every question on the submission sheet (make sure you get all of them) and all three of your videos to our head coach at kathyj@psdschools.org. You will not be penalized for submitting your tryout through this method!
